The Wave
I could write a novel about the waves on this particular day. In all of my travels, I had never seen waves take this form before.
Best thing of all… This location was four kilometres from my house in Maugherow, simply mesmerising.
I remember it was around Easter time, I was living in Maugherow, north west Ireland. I was lying on my couch, and, in the corner of my eye I could see something briefly breaking over the horizon. By the time I tried to see it it was gone, this caught my imagination.
I know it was in the direction of the coastline nearby so I picked up the camera, jumped into the car, and went to investigate.
I could see the waves way before I arrived at the coast. They were HUGE. Absolutely huge.
This is just one of many I took over at least two hours just sitting and watching the waves. I can’t help feeling that each wave such as this is an entity, a unique entity which once it has dispersed it is gone forever, never to return.
There is no false construction of this image, it is just enhanced as usual with my processing and retouching techniques.
