Misfat Al-Abriyeen
On my first one day road trip I visited this beautiful small town. We stopped here for lunch and then walked around for a while.
Misfal Al-Abreen is an exquisite experience. All I remember was two emotions.
I didn’t want to leave, and, wanted to return very soon.
I will stay here for a long weekend, or, even a week, sometime in the next few months.
It is such a beautiful town. With many of the building built on top of huge mountainous rocks, built into the landscape if you will.
Small narrow paths between seemingly ancient buildings, it truly is a visitors dream. There a numerous B&B’s, a few you can see in the image above.
I took this image with the Leica Q2. It was brand new to me on the road trip. I couldn’t think of a better place to go to get to know my new camera. The clarity of the lens is evident in this shot. The aspect of the camera which first stoked my interest was the colours produced within the RAW file.
After using it now for three to four months, I find it effortless to use. I feel much less of a technician or geek while using it, I feel that being a photographer is more a creative endeavour, this pleases me.
